WYDE Newsroom is a digital news publication operated by WYDE, a Wyoming Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association (DUNA), publishing data-driven coverage of nonprofits, philanthropy, and impact finance at newsroom.wyde.org.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide: only your email address, and only when you subscribe to the newsletter. No account is required to read coverage.
Collected automatically: standard technical logs (IP, browser, device, referring pages, timestamps) via our hosting and CDN providers, used to operate, secure, and improve the site.
Cookies: a small number of essential cookies set by our CDN (Cloudflare) for security and bot management; we may also use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

3. How We Use Information

To send the newsletter you subscribe to; to operate, secure, and improve the site; to analyze aggregate usage; to respond to inquiries; and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information.

4. Third-Party Processors

Beehiiv (newsletter, stores subscriber emails), hosting and CDN providers such as Vercel and Cloudflare (serve pages, process server logs), and CoinGecko (public market data, no personal data shared). See Beehiiv’s privacy policy at beehiiv.com/privacy.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for security and delivery; any analytics respect privacy and do not build advertising profiles. Users can control cookies via browser settings.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share only with the processors above, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger or acquisition (with notice).

7. Data Retention

Subscriber emails are kept while subscribed and a reasonable period after; users can unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email; logs are kept only as needed for security and operations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. GDPR and UK GDPR apply for the EEA and UK; CCPA and CPRA apply for California (we do not sell personal information). Exercise rights by emailing privacy@wyde.org, or unsubscribe anytime.

We use reasonable safeguards; no method is completely secure.

10. International Transfers

We operate in the US; information may be processed in the US and other countries.

11. Links to Other Sites

We link to third-party sites (IRS, ProPublica, organization sites, the WYDE ecosystem) and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

12. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the effective date.
