Background
Kevin Owocki is a co-founder of Gitcoin, which he co-founded in 2017 and which Decrypt reported had fully transitioned to a DAO.
He stepped into Gitcoin's executive director role on an interim basis in 2024, and his April 2025 governance post said he was still interim.
In October 2026 he wrote the Techne updates, including a 19 October post that he said was his personal interpretation, not a decision by Gitcoin governance.
